As a centralized client performance service, we support the teams and management in evaluating the performance of the high-quality and innovative database platform in order to ensure the quality and thus the productivity of the application. We promote the quality of the teams by recognizing performance bottlenecks during development and highlighting them before they can have a negative impact on production. The Client Performance Service provides the basis for the performance acceptance of releases. The architecture team is supported in the performance evaluation of architectural adjustments/optimizations by creating and testing client simulation scenarios. These complex scenarios are developed together with the architecture team. Ad hoc reported performance bottlenecks of the Client in production are analyzed by the Client Performance Team in consultation with the person responsible and resolved where possible. Continuous performance monitoring and addressee-related monitoring in production ensure that even creeping changes are recognized and countermeasures can be taken before the end customer notices anything. Responsibilities: · Preparation, execution, and evaluation of client performance tests - Test automation using UFT - Test script creation including technical coordination with the insurance department - Maintaining and using the test framework/test cockpit: - Embedding test scripts in UFT Master (VBScript) including scheduler and recovery (C#) - Test data provision including analysis of test data requirements and coordination with the insurance department. o Test execution of: - End2End test for release approvals - CIT (Continuous Integration Tests) for evaluating release quality in development - Smoke test - Base client comparison tests - Additional infrastructure tests (Grafana, cloud, etc.) o Test evaluation - Evaluation templates, macros - Conduct SQL queries for both test data provision and analysis of test results (Statistix) - Test tool creation and maintenance of in-house developments (Java framework for Neoload, UFT framework, tools, and auxiliary programs) - Defect creation and tracking, including discussions and coordination with IT and insurance departments - SAS Enterprise Guide (E2E in-house development for result analysis) o Evaluation process o SAS -programming- - VDI TestPool management (infrastructure provision of Windows test machines) o Create/maintain VDI master - UFT manufacturer contact if necessary (troubleshooting e.g. in case of -performance leak-) - Citrix with NeoLoad test execution (expanding tests for special applications) - VDI-JF participation (infrastructure topics and requirements for Windows base client tests) - Neoload tests Requirements/Skills: - C2 Level German (or fluent) - Testing experience, ISQB Advanced Level - SQL, VBScript - GitHub - SVN - SAS - Experience in load/performance tests, background knowledge - C# - Visual Studio Code - Jira, MS Excel, Confluence - Work hours adapted to test slots – evenings/weekends - At least one of these skills: - UFT scripting know-how for Java fat client applications - Neoload for background load or web service tests Advantages / optional skills: - Insurance knowledge in property, life, health insurance - data model know-how - knowledge of GGRL content, rights (certification level 1 desired) |

DB: The database system used for this is DB2 under Linux. There are a large number of databases there, which in turn contain the tables of the core as well as tables that are specific to Germany. The DB Expert is responsible for database administration in the area of the database. The database contains all customers, contracts and claims of the German companies. The data model must be adapted to new core releases and new requirements of the German companies at regular intervals. To do this, the various development, test, integration and production environments must be adapted. Data provisioning: DBS (data provision) is used to provide data from the productive database for evaluation purposes for other recipients (such as the BI platform). For this purpose, a daily delta (of all data changed in the course of the day in the DB) is generated and distributed (e.g. to the BI platform, sales, ...). The system consists of around 970 PL/1 modules and 5000 batch jobs. The daily provision (ETL process) of stored and modified data for various downstream systems takes place within the agreed SLA. All replication environments are available in all phases with up-to-date and consistent data in the databases and on files. Extensions to the application are carried out according to the agreed release dates and are implemented correctly, efficiently and in a resource-saving manner. Archive - Service: The Archive-Service archives the Data stored in operative Tables and import the Data into the Archive and the way back, if it is needed and ordered. This is used by Batchservices, written in PL1 / JCL. Tasks: · Application development (realization of user stories) and clarification of productive errors regarding the services of the project · Analysis and understanding of business requirements related to the concrete business area she/he is operating in • Implementation of necessary changes in running applications (e.g. legal and technical requirements, release change/maintenance) • Implementation of release changes including necessary off-hours availabilities based on the release schemes and procedures • Standby for and Implementation of changes on the production system at night and on weekends sometimes and especially at the end of the year. • Business-driven enhancements/optimizations of running applications (e.g. closing functional gaps, improving processes from a profitable point of view, optimizing performance and/or resource consumption) • Adherence to security and compliance standards typically driven by VAIT and DORA • Elimination of functional and technical errors • Problem management (error categorization, estimation and resolution, user support, ticket processing) • Fixing availability issues of applications & systems (system downtime, application abort errors, etc.) • Checking and correcting data inconsistencies and performing corrective counter-measures • Software development according to the predefined specifications (technical requirement, implementation concept, IT guideline, IT concept) • Collaboration in the creation of technical and implementation concepts and development, validation and deployment of the results • Monitoring of the daily running ETL data provisioning chain • Incident management • Analysis and optimization of performance issues • The documentation must be kept up to date.
